Qatar's Ministry of Transport lists BDrive among the companies licensed to carry passengers through an app and already active in Qatar. Here is how to check.
Qatar's Ministry of Transport publishes the official list of companies licensed to carry passengers through software and electronic apps. In September 2026 the Ministry updated that list, and BDrive is in its first section: companies licensed for the activity and already active in Qatar.
What the Ministry's list says
The Ministry's page, Licensed Companies Authorized for Transporting Passengers Using Software & Electronic Apps, sorts licensed companies into two groups: those licensed and already operating in Qatar, and those licensed but not yet active. BDrive is in the first group. On the same page the Ministry notes that legal action will be taken against companies and vehicles that break the rules.
How to check it yourself
- Open the Ministry of Transport's list of licensed companies on mot.gov.qa. It is also published in Arabic.
- Look under the first heading, for companies licensed and already active in Qatar. BDrive is listed in English as BDrive and in Arabic as بي درايف.
- For any question about the list, call the Ministry on 16016.
What it means when you ride with BDrive
Carrying passengers through an app is a licensed activity in Qatar. When you book through an app on the Ministry's list, you are riding with a company the Ministry has authorised to carry passengers.
