BDrive Terms of Service

Last updated: v3.1

Version 3.1 — effective 8 September 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and B Drive for App Based Transport, a company registered in the State of Qatar under Commercial Registration No. 239801, with its registered office at 11th Floor, Al Owaina Tower, Museum Park Street, Doha, Qatar ("BDrive", "we", "us" or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the BDrive mobile applications, the website bdrive.qa and every related service, content and feature we make available (together, the "Platform").

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, tapping "Agree", or using the Platform in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Definitions

"Rider" means a person who uses the Platform to request transportation. "Driver" means an independent driver who has been approved by BDrive to receive trip requests through the Platform. "Trip" means a single journey requested by a Rider and performed by a Driver through the Platform. "Quoted Fare" means the price shown to the Rider in the app before the Rider confirms a booking. "Fee Schedule" means the table of waiting, cancellation and no-show fees in Section 23 of these Terms. "Wallet" means the prepaid BDrive balance attached to your account.

2. Who may use BDrive

2.1 You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of the State of Qatar. Riders aged under 18 may only travel when accompanied by an adult account holder who is responsible for them.

2.2 You may hold only one account. Your account is personal to you; you may not transfer it, sell it or let anyone else use it. You must keep your phone number, e-mail and other account details accurate and up to date.

2.3 We verify your identity through a one-time passcode sent to your mobile number. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including bookings made by anyone you allow to use your phone. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

2.4 We may refuse, suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, that is used fraudulently, or where the law requires us to.

3. What BDrive is — and is not

3.1 BDrive is a technology platform licensed in the State of Qatar for app-based transport. Through the Platform we connect Riders who need a journey with Drivers who are available to provide it, we calculate fares, we process payments, and we provide safety, support and tracking features around the Trip.

3.2 Drivers are independent providers. They are not employees, agents or partners of BDrive. When a Driver accepts your request, a direct contract for the transportation is formed between you and that Driver; BDrive collects the fare and any fees from you on the Driver's behalf and pays the Driver their share, and payment made through the Platform discharges your obligation to the Driver for that Trip. Every Driver on the Platform has passed BDrive's onboarding checks, which include verification of a valid Qatari driving licence, vehicle registration ("istimara") with the required commercial/limousine classification, mandatory motor insurance and identity documents. Drivers perform each Trip under their own responsibility and in compliance with Qatari traffic law.

3.3 BDrive does not own or operate the vehicles and does not itself provide transportation. Where the law treats BDrive as the provider of the Trip, the protections in Section 17 apply to the fullest extent the law allows and no further.

4. Services currently available

4.1 BDrive currently offers on-demand and scheduled ride services in the State of Qatar in the vehicle categories shown in the app. Additional categories (such as Premium, Van or Ladies-Only) and additional services (delivery, shipping, pick-and-drop) may be shown in the app as "coming soon" and are not available until we switch them on. We may add, change, pause or withdraw categories and services at any time.

4.2 Availability depends on the number of Drivers online near you. We do not guarantee that a Driver will accept your request, or that a Driver will arrive within the estimated time. Estimated arrival times and estimated trip durations are estimates only.

5. Booking a Trip

5.1 You request a Trip by entering a pickup point and a destination and choosing a vehicle category. Before you confirm, the app shows you the Quoted Fare for that route and category, including any surge multiplier that applies at that moment. Confirming the booking is an offer to purchase the Trip at the Quoted Fare; the contract for the Trip is formed when a Driver accepts.

5.2 You must be ready at the pickup point you selected, and you must ensure the pickup point is a place where a vehicle can legally and safely stop. You may correct the pickup point in the app before the Driver arrives; a materially different pickup point may result in a new quote.

5.3 Scheduled Trips. Where the app allows you to book in advance, we will try to assign a Driver close to the scheduled time. The fare for a scheduled Trip is quoted at the time of booking; the Quoted Fare, cancellation rules and Fee Schedule apply in the same way as for an on-demand Trip.

5.4 Passenger limits and luggage. The number of passengers must not exceed the seats and seat belts available in the vehicle category you selected. Luggage must fit safely in the vehicle. Drivers may refuse to carry items that are illegal, dangerous, unhygienic or that could damage the vehicle.

5.5 Children. Qatari traffic law requires appropriate child restraints and prohibits children under 10 from travelling in the front seat. You are responsible for bringing any child seat required for the children you travel with; Drivers are not obliged to provide one and may refuse a Trip where the law would be breached.

5.6 Animals. Only trained assistance animals are accepted without prior agreement. Other animals may be carried only if the Driver agrees and the animal is secured in a suitable carrier.

6. Fares and pricing

6.1 All prices are in Qatari Riyals (QAR). A fare is built from a base fare, a per-kilometre charge and a per-minute charge for the vehicle category, calculated on the route between your pickup and destination at the time of the quote, plus any surge multiplier in effect. Each category has a minimum fare; if a Trip prices below it, the minimum is charged instead. There is no booking fee.

6.2 Upfront pricing. The Quoted Fare you accept is the fare you pay for the Trip you booked. We do not charge extra if the Driver takes a longer route, if traffic is heavier than expected, or if the Trip takes longer than estimated. The Quoted Fare changes only in the following cases: a) a waiting-time charge under Section 7; b) a change of destination that you request and the Driver accepts under Section 8; c) a cancellation or no-show fee under Section 9; d) an optional tip you add under Section 11.

6.3 Surge (peak) pricing. When demand is high, in busy zones, at certain times or in heavy traffic, fares may be multiplied by a surge factor. The multiplier and the resulting Quoted Fare are always shown to you before you confirm. We never apply a surge multiplier after you have confirmed a booking.

6.4 Where a Trip is re-quoted for any reason under these Terms, the new quote is calculated at the rates and surge multiplier in effect at that moment and is shown to you before it takes effect.

7. Waiting time at pickup

7.1 Every Trip includes a free waiting period of 4 minutes from the moment the Driver marks that they have arrived at your pickup point.

7.2 After the free period, waiting time is charged per minute at the rate for your vehicle category shown in the Fee Schedule and in the app. Waiting is charged in whole minutes; a partial minute is not charged. The charge is added to your fare and shown as a separate line on your receipt.

7.3 Waiting time is measured by the Platform from the Driver's arrival marker. If you believe the Driver marked arrival before actually reaching your pickup point, report it through the app within 7 days and we will review the GPS record of the Trip.

8. Changing the destination during a Trip

8.1 You may propose a new destination from the app while a Trip is in progress. The whole journey from your original pickup point to the new destination is re-quoted at current rates, and the Driver may accept or decline the change.

8.2 If the Driver accepts, the new quote replaces the Quoted Fare for the Trip and is the amount charged. If the Driver declines, the Trip continues to the original destination at the original Quoted Fare.

8.3 Any amount by which the new fare exceeds the sum already authorised on your card or reserved in your Wallet is collected as described in Section 10.6.

9. Cancellations and no-shows

This Section describes exactly how the Platform decides whether a cancellation fee applies. The Platform shows you whether a fee will apply before you confirm a cancellation.

9.1 Cancellation by you, free of charge. You can cancel without any fee in all of the following situations: a) at any time before a Driver has accepted your request; b) at any time until the Driver marks arrival at your pickup point — the Platform accepts that marker only within 600 metres of the pickup, so a Driver who is still on the way never ends your free cancellation; c) where the Platform detects that the Driver is not making reasonable progress towards your pickup point, or has not responded to your attempts to contact them through the app;

9.2 Cancellation by you, with a fee. If none of the situations in 9.1 applies — that is, a Driver has marked arrival at your pickup point and you cancel — a flat cancellation fee for your vehicle category applies as set out in the Fee Schedule (currently QAR 5.00 for Economy, Comfort and SUV). When a cancellation fee applies it is the only amount charged for that booking; no fare, waiting or other charge is added to it. The greater part of every cancellation fee is paid to the Driver to compensate the time and fuel spent coming to you.

9.3 No-show. A Driver may report that you did not show up only when all of the following are true: the Driver has marked arrival at your pickup point; at least 3 minutes have passed since arrival; the Driver has tried to contact you through the app at least once since arriving; and you have not responded through the app. In that case the booking is cancelled and a no-show fee for your vehicle category applies as set out in the Fee Schedule (currently QAR 5.00). No other amount is charged. If you respond to the Driver through the app at any time after arrival, a no-show cannot be reported against you.

9.4 Cancellation by the Driver. A Driver may cancel an accepted booking, including a Trip that has already started. You are never charged when a Driver cancels. Any amount authorised on your card or reserved in your Wallet for that booking is released, and where a Trip had not started we will try to find you another Driver. Drivers who cancel accepted bookings excessively are subject to restrictions under Section 14.

9.5 Cancellation by BDrive. We may cancel a booking where we reasonably believe it is fraudulent, unsafe, in breach of these Terms, or where we cannot fulfil it. You are not charged for a booking we cancel, and any authorised or reserved amount is released.

9.6 Scheduled Trips are subject to the same rules, measured from the time a Driver is assigned to the scheduled booking.

10. Payment

10.1 You may pay by cash, by Visa or Mastercard card, by Apple Pay, by Google Pay, or from your Wallet, as enabled in the app from time to time. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are processed by Tap Payments, a payment service provider licensed for this purpose; BDrive never sees or stores your full card number.

10.2 Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. When you confirm a booking, we place an authorisation hold on your card for the Quoted Fare. When the Trip ends, the final fare is charged against that hold and any unused part of the hold is released. Banks may take several days to remove a released hold from your statement; this is outside our control. If an authorisation fails, the booking is not created.

10.3 Wallet. When you confirm a Wallet booking, the Quoted Fare is reserved from your available balance. It is deducted when the Trip ends and returned to your available balance if the booking is cancelled without a fee. You cannot book a Wallet Trip if your available balance is less than the Quoted Fare; the app will ask you to top up or choose another method.

10.4 Cash. Pay the Driver the exact final fare shown in the app at the end of the Trip. Cancellation and no-show fees on cash bookings are collected through your Wallet where you have a balance, or added to your next booking. Drivers are not obliged to carry change for large notes.

10.5 Tips. See Section 11.

10.6 Amounts not collected at the time. If a Trip ends costing more than the amount held or reserved at booking (for example because of waiting time or an accepted destination change), or a fee could not be collected, the uncollected amount is carried forward and added to the hold or charge of your next booking, and is shown to you when you book. If your carried-forward balance exceeds QAR 20, you will be asked to settle it in the app before you can book again.

10.7 Receipts. A receipt for every Trip is available in the app and, where you have given us an e-mail address, sent by e-mail. It itemises the fare, any waiting charge, any surge multiplier, any fee and any tip.

10.8 Failed or disputed card payments. If a card payment is reversed by your bank after a Trip was completed (a "chargeback") without a valid reason, we may suspend your account and recover the amount by any lawful means.

11. Tips

11.1 Tipping is optional and is never included in the Quoted Fare. You may add a tip in the app after a Trip, and on cash Trips you may also tip the Driver directly.

11.2 A tip added through the app is collected by BDrive and shared between the Driver and BDrive. The Driver's share of tips is set by BDrive's tip policy in effect at the time and is shown in the app; the current policy gives the Driver 50% of each in-app tip. Tips given to the Driver directly in cash belong entirely to the Driver.

11.3 Tips added through the app are final and are not refundable except where the Trip itself is refunded in full.

12. Refunds and disputes

12.1 If you believe you were charged incorrectly, report the Trip in the app (Activity → the Trip → Help) or write to [email protected] within 7 days of the Trip. Include the Trip details and what you believe is wrong. We will review the Platform's record of the Trip, including GPS data, timestamps and messages, and tell you the outcome.

12.2 Where a refund is approved: card, Apple Pay and Google Pay refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank; Wallet refunds are credited to your Wallet immediately; refunds for Trips paid in cash are credited to your Wallet.

12.3 Refund decisions are made by BDrive in good faith on the basis of the Platform's records. Cancellation and no-show fees that were correctly applied under Section 9 are not refundable.

12.4 Nothing in this Section limits your rights as a consumer under Qatari law, including your right to complain to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry or the competent authority.

13. Wallet, promotions, loyalty and referrals

13.1 Wallet. Your Wallet holds a prepaid balance in QAR that you can use to pay for Trips. Wallet top-ups are processed by Tap Payments. Wallet balances are not interest-bearing, are not a bank deposit, may not be transferred to another user and may be withdrawn only where the law requires or as we expressly allow. Credits that we add to your Wallet as promotions, compensation or refunds of cash Trips may be used only for Trips and have no cash value.

13.2 Promotions and promo codes. We may offer discounts, promo codes, credits and other promotions. Each promotion is subject to the specific conditions shown when it is offered (such as an expiry date, a minimum fare, a vehicle category or a number of uses). Promotions have no cash value, may not be combined unless we say so, may be withdrawn at any time before they are used, and are void if obtained or used in breach of these Terms or through multiple accounts.

13.3 Loyalty and rewards. Where a loyalty or rewards programme is offered, points, tiers and benefits are governed by the programme rules shown in the app. Points have no cash value and expire as stated in those rules. We may change or end the programme on reasonable notice.

13.4 Referrals. Where a referral programme is active, rewards are credited only after the referred person completes the qualifying action stated in the app, and only for genuine new users. Self-referral and referral of fake or duplicate accounts are prohibited.

14. Drivers

14.1 To become a Driver you must complete BDrive's application, provide the documents we require (including a valid Qatari driving licence, Qatar ID, vehicle registration in the required classification, vehicle photographs and insurance) and be approved. You must keep every document valid; the Platform tracks expiry dates, reminds you, and suspends your ability to receive requests when a required document has expired until a valid one is uploaded and approved.

14.2 You must be the person named on the account, drive the vehicle registered on the account, and comply with Qatari traffic law and Ministry of Transport requirements at all times. You must not use a phone by hand while driving, carry more passengers than seat belts, or perform Trips outside the Platform for a Rider introduced through it.

14.3 Earnings. For every completed Trip you receive the fare less BDrive's commission, plus your share of any waiting charge, fee and tip, at the rates shown in the driver app before you accept a request. BDrive absorbs card-processing costs; they are not deducted from your earnings. Earnings are credited to your driver wallet and paid out according to the payout schedule and method shown in the driver app.

14.4 Cancellations and conduct. You may decline requests. Once you accept a request you are expected to complete it. Cancelling accepted bookings, cancelling Trips in progress, ending Trips far from the destination without reason, marking arrival before you arrive, or asking Riders to cancel are tracked by the Platform and lead to temporary suspension of requests and, if repeated, removal from the Platform.

14.5 Location. While you are online the driver app shares your live location with the Platform and, during a Trip, with the Rider. The Platform uses your location for dispatch, navigation, fare calculation, safety and fraud prevention. You must keep location services enabled while online.

14.6 Approval may be withdrawn at any time for breach of these Terms, a valid complaint, a safety incident, document fraud or a rating below the standard we publish in the driver app. Where BDrive has agreed a separate written driver agreement with you, that agreement prevails over this Section in case of conflict.

15. Your conduct

15.1 When using the Platform you must not: harass, threaten, discriminate against or assault any Driver, Rider or member of staff; damage or soil a vehicle; smoke, vape, consume alcohol or illegal substances in a vehicle; carry weapons, illegal or dangerous goods; ask a Driver to break the law or exceed the speed limit; record a Driver without consent; book Trips you do not intend to take; arrange a journey outside the Platform with a Driver you met through it; use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access other users' data or to interfere with the Platform's operation.

15.2 Damage and cleaning. If you or your guests damage or soil a vehicle beyond normal wear, we may charge you the reasonable, documented cost of cleaning or repair. The Driver must report the damage within 3 days with photographs and, for professional cleaning or repair, a receipt; we will show you the evidence, give you an opportunity to respond and tell you the amount before charging it. Normal wear and tear is never charged.

15.3 Ratings. Riders and Drivers rate each other after every Trip. Ratings help us keep the Platform safe. Consistently low ratings, whether as a Rider or as a Driver, may lead to suspension.

16. Safety and in-trip features

16.1 Emergency (SOS). The app includes an SOS button that alerts BDrive's operations team and shares your live location with them. In an emergency always call the Qatar emergency services on 999 first.

16.2 Share trip. You may share a live link to your Trip with a contact. You are responsible for whom you share it with.

16.3 Masked calls and chat. Calls between Riders and Drivers are connected through a masked number so that neither party sees the other's real phone number. Calls are not recorded. In-app chat messages are stored by the Platform for safety, dispute resolution and fraud prevention.

16.4 Trip records. The Platform records the route, timestamps and events of every Trip. These records are used to calculate fares, resolve disputes and investigate safety reports.

16.5 Lost items. Report a lost item in the app (Activity → the Trip → Lost item) as soon as possible. We will help you contact the Driver. BDrive is not responsible for items left in a vehicle; any return trip or delivery of a lost item may be charged as a normal Trip.

17. Liability

17.1 BDrive provides the Platform with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the State of Qatar, BDrive is not liable for: a) the acts or omissions of any Driver, Rider or other third party, including negligence, injury, loss or damage arising during a Trip, which are the responsibility of the person who caused them and of their insurer; b) delay, failure to find a Driver, or unavailability of the Platform; c) loss of profit, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss; d) events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, road closures, network failures, strikes or acts of authorities.

17.2 Every vehicle on the Platform is required to carry the motor insurance mandated by Qatari law. Claims for injury or damage arising from a road accident are to be made against the responsible driver and the applicable insurance policy. BDrive will provide the information it holds to assist a lawful claim.

17.3 Where BDrive is found liable to you in connection with a Trip or the Platform, our total liability for all claims arising from the same event is limited to the greater of the fare of the Trip concerned and QAR 1,000.

17.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by BDrive's own negligence, for fraud or gross negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Qatari law, including your mandatory rights under Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection.

17.5 You agree to indemnify BDrive against claims, fines and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or of the law, including damage you cause to a vehicle or to another person.

18. Intellectual property and licence

18.1 The Platform, its software, design, trademarks (including the BDrive name and logo) and content belong to BDrive or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the apps on a device you own or control, for your personal use, in accordance with these Terms.

18.2 You must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, scrape, resell or create derivative works from the Platform, or use it to build a competing service.

18.3 Maps, navigation and geocoding are provided by Google Maps and are subject to Google's terms of service. Payments are processed under Tap Payments', Apple Pay's and Google Pay's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

19. Communications

19.1 We will send you service messages about your account and your Trips by push notification, SMS, in-app message and e-mail. You cannot opt out of service messages while you hold an account.

19.2 We will send marketing messages only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the app settings or by using the opt-out in the message.

19.3 Our customer support may be provided by staff and by an automated assistant. Automated answers about fares, fees and policies are generated from the live Platform rules; where an automated answer conflicts with these Terms, these Terms prevail.

20. Suspension, termination and account deletion

20.1 You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time from the app settings. Deletion deactivates your account immediately, stops all marketing, and revokes app access. Trip, payment and safety records are retained as described in our Privacy Policy because the law requires it. Any Wallet balance or outstanding amount must be settled before deletion.

20.2 We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or a safety risk, if required by law or a competent authority, or if your account is inactive for a prolonged period. Where practical we will tell you the reason and give you an opportunity to respond.

20.3 Sections that by their nature should survive (including 10.6, 10.8, 12, 17, 18, 21 and 22) continue to apply after termination.

21. Changes to these Terms and to the Platform

21.1 We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we add services, change fees or when the law changes. The version number and effective date at the top of these Terms identify the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the app, by e-mail or SMS, or on the website at least 7 days before they take effect, unless a shorter period is required by law or for safety. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date is acceptance of the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform and may delete your account.

21.2 The amounts in the Fee Schedule are those in effect on the effective date above. We may change them from time to time; the amount shown to you in the app at the time of booking, cancellation or waiting is the amount that applies to that Trip.

21.3 We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. We are not liable for any modification, suspension or discontinuance.

22. Governing law, disputes and general terms

22.1 These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with a Trip, are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.

22.2 If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email protected] so that we can try to resolve it amicably. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either party may bring the matter before the competent courts of Doha, State of Qatar, which have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this Section prevents you from exercising any right you have as a consumer to complain to a competent governmental authority.

22.3 These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any promotion or programme rules shown in the app form the entire agreement between you and BDrive regarding the Platform. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

22.4 Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor or affiliate on notice to you.

22.5 Electronic agreement. These Terms are concluded electronically in accordance with Qatar's Law No. 16 of 2010 on Electronic Commerce and Transactions. Your tap on "Agree" or your use of the Platform has the same effect as a written signature.

22.6 Language. These Terms are published in English, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi and Bengali. The other language versions are provided for your convenience; if there is any inconsistency between versions, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
