Safety on every trip: How BDrive protects riders in Qatar
From document-checked drivers to an in-app SOS button and live trip sharing — here's how BDrive builds safety into every ride.
Safety is the one thing we refuse to compromise on at BDrive. We built safety into the platform before a single ride was accepted — not as an optional extra, but as a core requirement.
Every BDrive driver is reviewed by our team before they can go online. We check their Qatar ID, driving licence and vehicle registration (istimara), and look at photos of the car. We also track when those documents expire, and a driver must renew them to keep driving.
Once your trip is booked, the app shows your driver's name, car and plate, so you can check you are getting into the right car. If you ever feel unsafe, the SOS button in the app alerts the BDrive safety team and sends them your location. In a life-threatening emergency, call 999.
Trip sharing lets you send a live tracking link to anyone — a family member or a friend — without them needing the BDrive app. They can follow your trip until you arrive.
Our support team works 24/7. If something doesn't feel right — before, during, or after a trip — report it through the app's support chat and we will follow up. We take every report seriously.
BDrive is licensed by Qatar's Ministry of Transport and appears on the Ministry's list of licensed ride-hailing companies. As we grow, we keep improving our safety systems based on real feedback from riders and drivers.
